If you cannot connect to your VPS, first check whether the problem affects the whole server or one application, such as SSH, Remote Desktop or a website.

Check the service and console

1

Check the control panel

Sign in to EDBB and open the VPS. Confirm it is powered on and installation has finished. If it is suspended, check billing and renewals. If connections are extremely slow, check traffic usage.
2

Check for an incident

Look at the status page for your server’s location. If you recently changed the primary IP, use the new address and check its configuration inside the VPS.
3

Open the VNC console

Follow open the console. If you can see the operating system, use it to check networking and services. A boot error needs a different repair from an SSH or firewall problem.

Check from inside the VPS

Inspect the interface, addresses and default route:
Compare them with the Network tab. Look for an interface marked UP, the assigned IPv4 address and a default via route using your gateway.Test the gateway, then an external address and DNS. Replace YOUR_GATEWAY with the value in your panel:
The last command lists listening services. For SSH on Debian or Ubuntu, check sudo systemctl status ssh; on Rocky or AlmaLinux, check sudo systemctl status sshd. Use the service’s logs to investigate errors.

What the results mean

Do not disable every firewall rule or reinstall the server as a first troubleshooting step. For support, include the VPS IP, time and timezone, exact error, affected port and results from these checks. Send logs with passwords and other secrets removed to support@edbb.com.
