If a lookup website displays an unexpected location, identify which database supplied the result before requesting a correction. A lookup label is not proof that the VPS is in the wrong datacenter.
  1. Record the VPS IP address, ordered location, lookup URL and date. Save the displayed result.
  2. Check whether the lookup website names its underlying GeoIP provider.
  3. Use that provider’s current official support or correction workflow. For MaxMind, start at MaxMind support; for another provider, use its own website rather than an old form URL.
  4. Send the same evidence to support@edbb.com if you need help checking the provider’s allocation or geofeed information.
Corrections are reviewed independently and may take time to reach downstream users. Do not expect a new PTR record, DNS change or VPS reinstall to correct a commercial location database.
