# Request a qcow2 disk export

> Request a paid EUR 25 qcow2 export of your VPS disk, download it using the protected link within 30 days, and store your own copy securely.

EDBB can provide a downloadable **qcow2 image of your VPS disk** as a separately requested service. It costs **EUR 25**. EDBB does not provide routine backups or instant customer snapshots.

## Request the export

    Email [support@edbb.com](mailto:support@edbb.com) or use the panel support channel. Identify the VPS and request a qcow2 disk export. Ask support to coordinate any required shutdown and application-consistency preparation before the export.

  <Step title="Pay the export invoice">
    Support issues the EUR 25 invoice. The export proceeds after payment is confirmed. Review the final invoice for applicable tax.

  <Step title="Download and store your copy">
    Use the password-protected download link supplied by support. It is available for **30 days**, after which the export file is deleted. Store your own copy securely outside the VPS.

## Before relying on the image

* A disk export can contain passwords, keys and personal data. Restrict access to the file and its download credentials.
* Confirm the file downloads completely and test your intended restore process in an isolated environment.
* A target must support the image format, virtual hardware and required disk capacity. An image from a larger disk is not automatically suitable for a smaller VPS.
* Continue making [routine backups](/backups); a one-off export is not a schedule or retention strategy.

The export's download window is separate from [VPS data retention after termination](/faq/billing-lifecycle/data-retention-period). Request and download anything you need before cancelling the service.
